Influence of Depth and Position of Vibration-Isolating Slot on Damping Effect of Blasting Vibration

The blasting vibration has an impact on the rock and soil around hole nearby structures. vibration-isolating slot is one of methods to reduce damage vibration. In this paper, influences depth position isolation PPV (peak particle velocity) attenuation characteristics ground damping effect at different measuring points are studied systematically by LS-DYNA numerical models. results show that realized reflecting wave increasing propagation paths wave. When 5 m∼45 m far away from slot, average more than 30% deeper better when m∼15 slot. However, 15 best m. same point due positions For M3 M5, with distance between explosion source, shows increasing-decreasing-increasing trend; however, it a decreasing-increasing-decreasing trend for M4.
